Recovery of Upstream Raw Materials

Mechanical disassembly of used batteries extracts cathode and anode materials, enabling the recovery of metal sulfates such as cobalt, lithium, and nickel. These materials are further processed into battery-grade compounds, reducing raw material demand and enhancing cost efficiency and sustainability.

Valuable Metals Recovery

After initial disassembly and sorting, used lithium batteries undergo pyrometallurgy, hydrometallurgy, and electro-hydrometallurgy to recover valuable metals like cobalt, nickel, and copper. These recovered metals can then be used to produce new battery materials, reducing dependence on virgin resources.

Wastewater Treatment and Recovery

High-salinity mixed wastewater from cathode active material production is treated using Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) and multi-effect evaporation. This ensures compliance with strict discharge standards and allows for the recycling of both precious metals and water.
